PHP Tutorial

There are many, many sites devoted to the writing of HTML5 and I don't just want to be another one lost in the myriad of others.
So I have thought long about what to place on this page.
I have thought it would be good to just demonstrate different, neat things I discover and
give the code for them. I won't attempt to teach you the basics. I'm assuming you have found, already, many sites to help you with that. I will concentrate on the more advanced techniques and coding tricks that I discover in my learning and help to progress you toward the same point withouty having to go through the same long, discovery process I have had to follow.

The first one I have found is quite neat and very easy. It is standard HTML, so will be supported over most of the browsers, although I can not vouch for some of the older versions. I do actually check everything I write on Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Firefox and make every effort to keep to the rules and standards, so that the things I learn and use will have as wider audience as possible.

I have done a little coding in HTML over the years, but have been through the process of upgrading my knowledge and skills to HTML5, so that is the base I will be using. As you can see the banner on every page carries the HTML5 logo, because my website conforms to this

I have started to put some tricks into the pages listed on the right.

I will add in some other effects and show how to create a pop open dialog box, that won't be trapped by the browser for trying to do something illegal

More content and detail is being added to this site all the time. Check back regularly to see what's new.
